The Arnold & Porter 1L Los Angeles Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship for members of historically underrepresented groups in the legal profession supports the firm’s deep commitment to diversity and inclusion and is designed to increase diversity and inclusion within our firm and the legal profession. The 1L Los Angeles Diversity and Inclusion Fellow will be awarded:

• A 10-week paid Summer Associate position in the Los Angeles office.
• A $10,000 scholarship to be used for 2L year.
• A $5,000 award to be used for 3L year, provided the student has received and accepted an offer to join the Summer Associate program for a minimum of eight weeks during their 2L summer.

Applicants must submit a current resume, official law school transcript*, and a personal statement (limited to 500 words) that describes the importance of diversity and inclusion in their personal background and how they have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. • If your law school has not released first semester grades by the application deadline, you may submit your application without your law school transcript. We will follow up to request an updated transcript, if needed.
