The Role
Provide support and take the leading role on Company Tax and audit matters for Customer Center General Vacuum Southeast Asia businesses in Malaysia, he/she has to ensure timely Tax filing and compliance with legal requirements. He/she is part of Customer Center General Vacuum Southeast Asia finance team and will be involved in the accounting and reporting and analysis of business results for the region.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all legal and corporate regulations
- Mitigate tax risks by highlighting any tax updates & issues in advance
- Coordination of tax audit, tax calculation, tax filing and optimization (Income tax, GST & WHT)
- File tax returns and pay the taxes imposed by National Tax Service and Local Public Offices
- Submit Withholding tax on monthly basis/COR application
- Support any periodic / special tax audits or queries
- Communication with banks, lawyers, government, auditors, etc.
- Support monthly closing process in SAP and group reporting system in SEA region
- Main contact person with Finance Shared Service Center (FSC) Team for the accounting matters of Malaysia
- Coordination of financial audits, transfer price audits, internal and external audit
- Preparation and analysis of monthly reports for local management
- Provide AR Aging analysis and follow up customer overdue
- Support of Assistance Business Controller and Business Controller in all financial topics in the region
- Support the closure of the branch in Malaysia
- Continuous improvements for all finance related processes
- Support and participate in ad-hoc tasks as and when assigned

What we expect from you:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or preferably a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
- At least 3 years experiences in accounting especially AR, AP, GL, and Taxation
- Very good knowledge of local GAAP, Tax, IFRS and other local regulations
- Good accounting skills and analytical ability
- Experience in full set of accounting is preferable
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, SAP/Power BI Knowledge is advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- A reliable, organized, and meticulous team player with a positive mindset
- Proactive, integrity and quality work
- Take ownership and excellent working attitude
- Possess flexibility and ability to effectively perform multiple functions at a time
- Ability to work under pressure and still meet up with deadlines without making errors

Location: Kuala Lumpur or Kulim, Malaysia
