Job description
This position provides support to all aspects of the TEDI BEAR CAC and Mt. Olive CACs including staff and faculty comprised of the Director, Clinic Manager, Medical Providers, Social Workers, Child and Family Advocates, Therapists, CAC Coordinator, MDT Coordinator, and Community Educators. This position provides highly specialized support for patient registration and processing of new and returning patients to ensure appropriate billing and reimbursements. Provides data management of patient information at intake and during service delivery for accurate tracking of all onsite services. Works closely with TEDI BEAR service providers to capture essential information necessary for reporting and medical documentation. Works with visiting law enforcement and DSS professionals to secure legal documents necessary for service delivery. Responsible for monitoring reception area and phone system, securing interpreters when indicated, routing incoming calls for onsite staff. Processing medical and mental health intake paperwork and registration (obtaining insurance information and documentation) utilizing EPIC electronic health record system, securing signatures, consents, and waivers, explaining rights, and providing instructions to visitors. Completes data entry with accuracy and thoroughness. Checks accuracy to ensure all services are appropriately captured to reflect activities at TEDIBEAR used for monitoring and reporting of multiple external grants. Maintains donor database and drafts recognition letters. Provides reminder telephone calls to therapy patients. Assists with creating and submitting travel paperwork for TEDI BEAR employees, monitoring expenses and reimbursements through the online travel system, and working with the PEDS department and travel offices. Provides administrative support to two additional CAC locations when needed. Provides cross-coverage for other administrative support staff. Completes additional duties as determined by the supervisor.

Minimum Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Experience working with multiple line phone system in front of reception setting. Experience with EPIC EHR. Knowledge of ECU online travel system. Computer skills and experience with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel and Word desirable. Associate Degree in Medical Office Assistance, Business Administration, Healthcare Management Technology or related field from an accredited two year program with one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education or experience.
