Our Part-Time Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in all bakery operations and must be able to quickly master new skills and systems while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. We are seeking a self-starter with a can-do attitude and a passion for customer service, both internal and external.

Who we are:

The Doughnut Peddler is an established, 31-year-old company that manufactures and distributes fresh bakery products to thousands of locations nightly. This formerly small family business has grown up but still maintains the benefits of a close-knit culture, while rapidly expanding scale over recent years with new investment in the organization and talent. Our combined bakeries manufacture millions of fresh bakery items every week, and our distribution teams drive enough miles each day to circle the earth to ensure that fresh products are available each morning.

Responsibilities of the job include:

· Managing incoming phone calls (answering inquiries, redirecting calls as appropriate, and taking accurate messages)

· Replying to email and in-person inquiries in a professional and timely fashion

· Providing general support to in-house visitors

· Developing and maintaining a filing system in an organized manner at all times

· Assisting General Manager with recruiting and staffing needs as necessary

· Assisting Human Resources with benefits enrollment process

· Handling confidential information with discretion and sensitivity

· Entering all production packing slips in Red Zone software

· Aligning all packing slips with invoices upon receipt

· Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail

· Running general reports on a regular basis

· Supporting General Manager and Supervisors with operational tasks

Qualifications:

· 1+ years of experience in an administrative role

· 1+ years of customer service experience

· Minimum high school diploma

· Fluent English proficiency, both spoken and written

· Authorization to work in the US

· Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Superior time management skills

· Availability from 8:30am - 1:30pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
