We're looking for a new team member to work with us as an Algorithm Software Developer at our cutting-edge startup working to bring new underwater robotic capabilities to the infrastructure and defense markets. A candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in software development for robotics, data science, or artificial intelligence fields.

Candidates with work in one or more of the following will be prioritized:

• Navigation for dynamic environments,
• Computer vision deployed in real-world systems,
• Machine learning and data visualization.

This is a hybrid position with an on-site location in Austin, Texas. Depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and preference, this position may be structured as either an internship or co-op. In an internship structure, the position duration will be up to 3 months and pay will be hourly based on experience and without benefits. A Co-op position must be run through a student’s university, will have a 6 month duration, and compensation is through a salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Development of robotics data processing algorithms.
• Ensure proper documentation of designs, code, and procedures.
• Adherence to and management of development operations, tools, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Linux.
• Demonstrated ability to turn academic theory into practical code.
• Knowledge of linear algebra and linear systems.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience analyzing complex data sets utilizing statistical, supervised, and unsupervised machine learning techniques
• Experience with realistic data generation techniques such as Diffusion Probabilistic Models or Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).
• Experience extracting 3D data from images.
• Experience with neural radiance fields.
• Experience with neural image features.

Job Types: Temporary, Internship

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
