ENGIE Distributed Solar & Storage (an ENGIE North America company) is looking for an Asset Management Associate. This person will be responsible for performance reporting of the joint ventures. This will involve using and creating tools for the reporting and analysis of project performance, both operational and financial, and other related activities as it pertains to the Partnerships.


This position can sit in Houston, TX or Chicago, IL and will report to the Partnership Management, Sr Advisor. This position is open to a hybrid scheduled of both in-office and work-from-home days.


What you’ll do:

  • Organize monthly and quarterly project performance reports and investigates any variance

  • Coordinate with Operations team on performance explanations when below Partnership contractual targets

  • Utilize Excel sheets, Salesforce, project and customer specific management tools

  • Develop a basic understanding of the partnership reporting requirements and key metrics

  • Interface with Energy Solutions team (commercial, data, asset management risk management, operations, finance, etc.) and with corporate support functions (legal, tax, regulatory, technical accounting, accounting, and treasury) to ensure accurate reporting

  • Interface with Acquisitions Investments & Financial Advisory team and development organizations to understand upcoming activity and proper reporting of these projects

  • Expand responsibilities as new projects and portfolios are added to partnerships

  • Act as the partner’s internal champion, ensuring that all team members are keeping the partner’s best interest in mind


What you bring:

  • A minimum of a four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Economics, Business Administration or Finance preferred; comparable technical knowledge through demonstrated work experience will be considered

  • A minimum two (2) years of financial analysis, partnerships, modeling, and/or contract review experience

  • A minimum two (2) years of energy industry experience, preferably in renewable energy

  • Experience with partnership or joint venture businesses

  • Commercial acumen with good understanding of business principles, contracts, and relationships

  • Deadline driven with project management skills for cross-organizational coordination

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

  • General knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards accounting principles and financial statements

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Think conceptually, self manage, and take initiative on projects


Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.

  • Could involve some lifting.

Salary Range: $44,455-$114,010 USD annually
Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
