Assistant Manager – Retail Store

Ed Hoy’s International is North America’s largest distributor of art glass and art glass supplies located in Warrenville, IL. We strive to push the boundaries of traditional glass arts. Our mission is to provide the art glass community with the supplies, education, and confidence it takes to reach new levels of expression and beauty in art glass.

We are looking to expand our retail store team with a highly motivated, energetic individual who can be part of leadership of a small team of 3-4 members. The successful candidate will be able to support daily operations of the retail store, assist customers, answer product questions, and carrying out directives given by management.

Your day-to-day:

• Achieve team, company & individual goals
• Coordinates retail store operations
• Assisting customers and general POS duties
• Manage store scheduling and ensuring schedules are met by employees
• Assisting the retail manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining store inventory
• Opening and closing of the store
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable
• Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
• Attend events and trade shows
• Strong focus on customer service

What You Bring to Our Team:

• Minimum 2 years retail experience
• Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
• Leadership abilities
• Problem & conflict solving
• Multi-tasking skills, Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and bring a serious amount of passion to company mission and culture
• Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Art or glass background a plus

What We Offer:

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week $17.00 – 18.00 an Hour.
