Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent
Job description
Looking for an assistant property manager.
Requirements:
- Must work well with others (respect other property managers and have great customer service)
- Professional Demeanor
- Good Communication Skills
- Take direction well
- Have a flexible work schedule (will include some weekend work)
- Must be a licensed real estate licensee or broker or willing to become a licensed agent
- A real estate or management background is a plus
- Must have access to a car (travel between Boston and throughout Middlesex county is required)
- Helpful if the assistant property agent knows how to do minor repairs, such as replacing smoke and carbon detectors, changing light bulbs, etc.
FULL DISCLOSURE! This job is not for everybody. Flexible schedule is a non- negotiable. There is not set or strict schedule. While the majority of the work occurs during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 9a-6p some work/ appointments will need to be set evenings or weekends. Hours much more flexible during off season. Property management does require a lot of running, such as visiting properties, meeting vendors at properties, relocating keys, showing properties during rental season.
Compensation: Ideally looking for an licensed agent who will make a majority of their income from rentals and sales. We will offer agents a higher commission split (will correspond with experience) and hourly pay for running. Once an assistant property manager demonstrates adequate knowledge regarding the company's systems and procedures, pay structures can be restructured if they prove that they are able to manage the properties with minor supervision.
