Responsibilities include:
- Provide most pragmatic automation solutions to propel productivity
- Conceptualize automation ideas and develop into project plans
- Engineer and modify existing automation systems contribute to improvements / enhancements projects
- Understanding machine operating principle, consequence of wear and tear parts
- Utilizing database, web application, and script programming technology to design & construct system solution for decision support and factory process control, based on user requirements from customers. Complying software process to ensure quality of applications
- Interfacing with equipment / automation vendor, providing factory requirement, aligning functionality delivery and system integration architecture, and testing / qualifying equipment software
- Executing projects to improve factory operation performance, including enterprise solution entitlement, equipment automation deployment, data collection, and manufacturing status monitoring in factory environment
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in determining automation needs and materialize solutions
- Coordinating with local manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning and TI WW organization for project result delivery. Contribute in TI wide cross-sites One Make program
Minimum requirements:
- Working knowledge in Automation and software developing process
- Possesses a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical or equivalent fields
- Core Skills – PLC, HMI, robotics exposure, electronics wiring and programming, automation experiences related to Robot Arm, AGV/AMR, OHT development / fan-in, and integration with factory systems. Working knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data etc. will be an added advantage
- Knowledge in mechatronics / electromechanical and automation systems (sensors, control & mechanism systems)
- Familiar with Equipment connectivity (SEG/GEM, E84, GPIB, RS232 protocols) and cross platform/system communication interface (TCP/IP, FTP, API, wireless I/O etc)
- Project Management skills. Candidate with PMP certification will be an added advantage
Preferred qualifications:
- Goal oriented self-starter with a sense of urgency driving towards results
- Effective communication and technical report writing skills
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Strong analytical skills, able to create mathematical modeling to perform what-if scenarios / simulations
- System Architectural design, CAD & programming/coding skills
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Passionate about all Automation aspects (both hardware & software). Up to date on Automation trend.
