Job description

The Capital Project Controller is a key member of the project team and works together with the project team to help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's budget and schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve progress.

The talent is also in charge of identifying the project's requirements, set timelines, handling the budget, and developing strategies to optimize project operations.

Responsibilities: -

• Responsible to design, identify capabilities and sources of parts to execute the upgrades per Capex plan safely, meeting schedule, cost and deliver to project objectives/deliverables.
• Responsible to ensure all stakeholders and operation are ready to utilize the capex work upon completion. Track and confirm deliverables.
• Responsible to work with Capex Procurement including vendor or contractor strategy.
• Coordinating all aspects of projects, such as scheduling, budgeting, and procurement of materials
• Ensuring that contractors meet deadlines and comply with regulations regarding safety and environmental impact
• Managing the construction team during the life of the project, including hiring, and firing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring that deadlines are met
• Managing the project budget by creating a detailed estimate cost
• Develop and manages master program schedule and owns regular team briefs
• Maintain cost tracking and secure earned value reporting
• Provides regular updates/reports to Project Steering Committees to Key Capex project, Regional VP Strategic Sourcing and collaborative discussions with Engineering team and Manufacturing Innovation Manager

Requirements: -

• Degree in Engineering field of studies
• Preferably above 5 years of experience in managing and commissioning sizeable projects.
• Knowledge in control systems and safety designs are preferred.
• Strong in technical knowledge in Project Management and Engineering designs, execution, and deployment to production.
• Had good project management experience

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
