CIB Operations - FX Operations (Investigation) - Analyst
Job description
- Role will be focused on mastering all aspects of FX, Commodities and Derivatives settlement and post-settlement functions
- Driving key performance indicators like nostro breaks
- Managing Nostro opening and maintenance activities
- Identifying Nostro break trends and putting in place corrective actions
- Establishing an excellent relationship with both internal and external clients
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with internal SLAs
- Ensure key management metrics are updated & circulated on time
- Ensure all outstanding issues are reviewed and appropriately escalated in a timely manner
- Understand and ensure compliance with control and regulatory requirements
- Establish the end-to-end control processes
- Review and improve the end-to-end control process around the Ops processes
- Develop process and system enhancement recommendations
- Work with business and Technology group to prioritize the requirements by presenting the business case
- Ensure all controls and checks are completed by the end of day
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of Foreign Exchange/ Derivatives products
- Good understanding of SWIFT MT Messages, payment processing and CLS Settlements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to identify, understand, and address operational related issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and ability to deliver under minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with time-critical deliveries whilst maintaining accuracy
- Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize, and mitigate operational risk
- Effective stakeholder management
- Strong teamwork, people and organizational skills
- Experience with investment banking environment is a must, preferably in Back Office
- Bachelor's degree, Finance / Economics / Accounting or other related disciplines is preferred
- Prior experience in any breaks-resolution or payments investigations role will be an advantage
