The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Clinical Director to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Clinical Director Position Summary
The Clinical Director occupies a senior management level position directly responsible to the Chief Executive Officer. The Clinical Director is responsible for directing the development and operation of clinical services and programs provided by the Center. The position is also responsible for monitoring the outcomes of clinical services for use in service and program improvement. The CD plays an integral role in spotting clinical trends to set the course for future direction of the Center.
Responsibilities for Clinical Director
1. Oversee the operations of the clinical services of the Center to ensure quality of care, clinical accountability, and efficiency of direct service delivery, in coordination with the Chief Executive Officer and CCBHC/Operations Directors.
2. Monitor community needs including targeted populations (SPMI/SMI/SED/COD) and lead in the development of new clinical programs in coordination with the Executive Leadership Team.
3. Ensure the clinical coordination of the Center’s service divisions.
4. Serve as the Center’s HIPAA Privacy/Corporate Compliance Officer and provide and/or contribute to new employee training and annual all staff training on privacy issues. (Interfaces with the EPC)
5. Assist the Center’s Quality Improvement Director to develop annual plans consistent with CMHC/CCBHC licensing requirements and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)..
6. Coordinate with the Chief Executive Officer and Finance Director to recommend staffing patterns and address disparities to meet service demands at each location.
Qualifications for Clinical Director
Required:
Minimum qualifications include Kansas licensure as an LP (PhD or PsyD) or LSCSW.
Qualifications to function in a clinical management role.
- Experience in a Community Mental Health Center, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, and familiarity with Evidence-Based practices preferred.
