The Clinical Applications Analyst utilizes their clinical, departmental, and workflow knowledge to play an integral role in clinical system implementation and enhancements, interface and integration support, troubleshooting, and resolving end user and system issues with 3rd party clinical applications. This role works collaboratively with leadership, physicians, staff, 3rd party IT resources, internal EHR resources, and vendors to maximize workflows and improve end-user experience while maintaining image, data, and systems integrity. The Analyst will assist in providing training as well as documentation and support to providers, various technologists, and other staff members on supported 3rd party integrated applications across Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, and other areas within Clinical Services, to include Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology Information Systems, Cardiology Information System, and other applications.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related healthcare or information systems discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3 years of clinical experience/expertise in cardiology/ imaging/ patient care to include clinical workflow.
  • 2 years of experience in clinical system applications.
  • Experience with HIS and EMR systems highly desirable, as well as various integrations and interfaces between IT systems.

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Current Professional Licensure/Certifications in accordance with degree/profession.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of computer-based applications.
  • Understands Health Level 7 (HL7) interfaces and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot
  • Knowledge of basic server troubleshooting to include remote server access, restarting services, and rebooting servers.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate/convey information via training in both one on one and group settings.
  • Ability and willingness to be a team player on the Application Analyst team.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Willingness and ability to respond to “off-shift” issues or project requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with systems approach.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office product skills.

Schedule: full-time, day shift, 8:30am - 5:00pm with rotating call
