Job description

We are seeking an experienced commercial construction Superintendent to join our team! SGS, LLC is a General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on our commercial construction project(s).

Responsibilities:

• Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Management/Enforcement of SGS’s Safety Program and Security Policies
• Coordination and scheduling of all Subcontractors and/or Vendors
• Recruitment and efficient management of all on-site SGS workmen
• Maintaining inventory and efficient management control of tools and equipment
• Conduct regular progress and/or coordination meetings with trade subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

• Must have minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
• Must have current OSHA 30-Hour and CPR/First Aid certifications
• Must be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
• 40Hr EM385 Certification and 24Hr Competent Person Certification; preferred
• Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
• Experience in working with and understanding Primavera project schedules is a plus
• Experience with USACE RMS software
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
• Strong leadership qualities
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
