Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance Department.
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting.
- Oversee the quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports.
- Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
- Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of equivalent experience
- CPA Preferred (not required)
- Knowledge and experience with accounting for and reporting job costs, costs in excess of billings, billings in excess of costs, revenue and cost of sales, using the percent complete method of accounting
- Experience and capability in managing the income tax planning and compliance of the company and related entities in conjunction with the outside accounting firm
- Must be capable of cash flow planning, capital equipment tracking and planning
