Compensation: $29.00 - $36.00 + $1k sign-on bonus
Summary
The position of Corporate Accountant includes primary responsibility for overall accounting support for the corporate set of books and includes the billing of payroll and other costs out to properties. Job scope can be adjusted to be full-time(40hrs) or part-time(10-25). Hybrid schedule with flexible hours, Monday-Friday.
Duties
- Reconcile cash accounts, and accounts receivable monthly
- Reconcile monthly visa statement
- Prepare, process, coordinate and upload corporate re-bills to properties
- Download, review, and upload semi-monthly payroll accounting
- Interface with payroll department to assign new properties to the general ledger accounts
- Assist outside CPA with year-end financial review and tax preparation by providing documents and information, as requested
- Reporting and review of financial statements monthly and annual
- Processing of quarterly estimated and annual tax payments
- Analyze and process monthly accruals
- Maintain electronic and paper files
- Monitor and confirm cash balances and deposits for first of month payable obligations
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of expenses
- Process monthly invoices payable
- Interact with vendors as required to maintain good public relations with service providers
- Process miscellaneous invoices directly to system
- Input new vendors into system
- Assist in processing checks for mailing
- Assist with stale dated check processing
- Oversee cash flow including required bank account transfers
Qualifications
The following qualifications are representative, but not exclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of multi-site property management accounting experience preferred
- Yardi software experience preferred
- ADP software experience preferred
- Proficiency in Office Suite required
- Microsoft Excel proficiency required
- Excellent general accounting skills
- Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
