Here at EnFocus Search we have a client that headquartered near Santa Ana and is one of California’s most reputable and trusted self-performing contractors specializing in structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and architectural metals. The person in this role will provide Safety Leadership over their two regions (Orange County and San Diego), fabrications shops, and their corporate office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the safety process & procedures for all 3 departments in the company Office, Production, & Construction Field
  • Manage and update the company's Safety Program/Injury and Illness Prevention Program
  • Manage and enforce all safety rules & regulations as required by State of CA, Cal-OSHA, OSHA, Army Corps of Engineers EM-385, EPA for SWPPP
  • Manage and oversee fleet safety program and training
  • Develop accident-prevention & loss-control programs, prepares root cause analysis
  • Conducts/organizes employee safety training specific to company needs
  • Manages personnel and project safety for all jobs including site visits and trainings
  • Manage safety data sheets for the company
  • Manage safety orientation for new employees and advancement of existing employees
  • Manage annual safety calendar
  • Maintain records per Cal-OSHA and other regulatory compliance & reporting entities, including OSHA 300 logs
  • Manage safety certifications
  • Liaise with agencies such as OSHA, DOT, and EPA along with other regulatory agencies
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with (all client, inspectors, project management team, insurance partners and appropriate corporate department heads)
  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher required
  • 5 years of related experience as a safety professional in an industrial, commercial or construction environment
  • OSHA 500, SMS, CHST, CSP or other recognized certifications preferred
  • Strong leadership, organization, verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
