ROLE SUMMARY
To assist in the prompt collection of the firm’s debts, and to help ensure that partners and external clients receive a quality service in all respects.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Credit Controller is expected to be flexible, adaptable and to work well as a member of the Finance Team. This will include, but will not be limited to, the main responsibilities given below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assist in the setting up of the credit control system
 Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner
 Chase overdue invoices
 Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
 To obtain sufficient information to assess the credit worthiness of new and existing clients
 Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
 Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries
 Propose bad debts provisions and write off of irrecoverable debts
 To develop the credit management capability and the firm’s credit policy in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
 Analysis, cash collection forecasts, etc.
 To assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual Budget and debtor days budget by team
 To monitor overdue payments and identify those accounts which require special attention
 To undertake reconciliations and compile documentation for legal action as necessary
 Actively manage any new implementations / upgrades relating to SAP and interfaces

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
 Preferably, at least 5 years working experience in Credit & Collection preferably holding a supervisory position
 Must have strong verbal and written English.
 Working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
 Self-starter with good organization, methodical and multitasking skills with the passion to deliver quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
 Must be a team player, highly motivated and committed.
 Understands purpose of legal documentation and terms and conditions of the sales contracts of company’s products
 Knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis, industry/market credit research, is essential.
 The candidate MUST have strong communication skills and able to work with all levels

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
 Minimum Degree in Finance or other related discipline
