- Motivate and encourage the Design and Build Team as a manager
- Discuss projects with clients, manage client expectations, and negotiate features
- Select, or have input into the selection of specialists, subcontractors, or other organizations that will help to complete the projects
- Advise on the selection of materials used and other aspects of procurement
- Review and advise on designs, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and the client’s brief
- Ensure the design process recognizes current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, where appropriate
- Manage processes relating to the project's design to ensure that everything is delivered to schedule and budget, working very closely with estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers, and other key members of the project team
- Keep up to date with relevant regulations, codes, and legislation
- Coordinate with internal and/or external parties regarding design and technical issues
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Lead design and build meetings and presentations and produce the necessary reports for management review
- Performs other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/ management
; Requirements: - • Must possess at least a Degree in Architecture, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Civil/ Structural Engineering, Interior Design, or other related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in property development/ construction industry or related field
- Posses experience in leading a Design and Build Team will be an added advantage
- Strong visualization and conceptualization skills and ability to understand the brand identity
- Knowledge of construction site and marketing branding languages are also required
- Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to demonstrate meticulousness and good attention to detail
- Extensive experience with various types of construction will be a bonus
- Skills required: Project Management Software, 3D Max Modelling and Rendering, Sketchup and V Ray Rendering, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
- Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay
- Confident, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Possess own transport and willing to travel
