Digital
Marketing Specialist for the
Marketing Department.
Summary:
Digital Marketing Specialist collaborates with hospital service lines, key stakeholders and community partners to develop and implement the company’s strategic marketing plans and initiatives across a variety of digital channels. This role works with internal and external clients, media, and key audiences to increase lead generation, promote, and enhance the Halifax Health brand, providing subject matter expertise in the market. The Digital Marketing Specialist will use inbound marketing tactics such as email and social media to add value through content, resources, and other calls-to-action as well as oversee reputation management across external platforms.
The individual supports initiatives and applications – including web strategy, business requirements & project management, architecture, application/ site development, planning & scheduling, website performance to business objectives, quality assurance and on-going maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of interactive marketing experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/ advanced training in the web environment. Knowledge and experience with web development processes and procedures including hardware and software tools. Familiarity with email marketing, online advertising and SEM best practices. Familiarity with interactive marketing measurement tools and content management systems. Familiarity with the healthcare industry preferred.

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment- Highly-motivated self-starter
- Strong written and verbal skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate about technical matters in layman’s terms as well as clearly articulate thoughts, vision and direction
- Outstanding collaborative skills
- Knowledge of web production process and development
- Experience in web and online advertising/social media analytics. Ability to analyze Web traffic data and prepare reports highlighting key information and trends and opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
Develop, implement, and manage strategy, brand development, and digital strategy through implementation of tactical initiatives- Works in collaboration with Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialists to develop overall web and interactive marketing strategies including the development of online business objectives, direct email marketing initiatives, and new media objectives.
- Supports the development of online advertising and social media strategies, including but not limited to, photo & video shoots, blog content, social media content such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
- Create the strategy for nurturing leads through a mix of engaging and education content, in addition to other measureable calls-to-action
- Spearhead new approaches and execute programs including, but are not limited to, emails, landing pages, display ads, blogs, nurture campaigns, and forms.
- Reviews and collects web statistics and develops reports to submit on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Develops and maintains website content strategy and manages editorial development for Halifax Health website and VHN Website.
- Coordinates web-marketing initiatives, meeting with stake-holders (service line team, marketing specialists, and creative team).
- Leads/conducts user and stakeholder research as necessary.
- Assist with maintaining accurate departmental database and company CRM to develop and deploy effective campaign strategy
- Oversees reputation management on different platforms. Works with marketing specialists on tactics to improve reputation scores throughout our healthcare system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
