Due to our rapid growth, our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our teams. To this end, we are posting for a strong Driver. This role will be based in our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility.


OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of Company vehicles in the movement of Home Market Foods' material. As a key member of the Logistics and Transportation department, the Driver will have the opportunity to provide their expertise to a dynamic and growing organization.

This is a 2nd shift role and the hours are 6:00pm-5:30am.

The schedule is as follows - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday and Saturday are on an as needed basis.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the proper operations of Company vehicles - semi-trailer units
  • Timely delivery of product to the customer
  • Accurate maintenance of delivery records
  • Proper maintenance of government and Company logs within time limits
  • Assist with the inspection of material to be shipped for leaks and non-conformity
  • Proper application of Company and USDA regulations as they apply to storage and shipment of product
  • Assist with carrying out all safety regulations
  • Maintain through conduct, appearance and attitude a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist other drivers where needed
  • Other duties assigned


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Class "A" CDL Driver's License required
  • DOT medical regulation card
  • Proficient in English


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to bend, reach, carry and lift up to 75 pounds without difficulty on a continuous basis
  • Possesses good vision
  • Must have good vision and manual dexterity.
