Duties and responsibilities

• Conduct troubleshooting of equipment failure on production lines.
• Suggest changes in working methods or operation sequences in order to improve efficiency.
• Document standard operating procedures, training and certification specifications as well as causes of equipment failure.
• The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Professional competencies

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Degree, majoring in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering with 1 to 2 years of work experience. Fresh graduates in this field of studies may apply as well.
• Good leadership skill.
• Good communications skills with all levels of employees eg. management, executive and non-executive (technicians).
• Knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical component. For experienced candidates, demonstrated resolution of problems and issues. For fresh graduates, ability to provide examples of successful handling of engineering related project/s during internship.
• Ability to lead cross department or functional team members in executing projects or tasks.
• Ability to sustain and improve current processes and machineries.
• Ability to complete documentations eg. change control, validation, engineering report etc. in English.
• Desirable to have good knowledge on QC tools eg. fish bone diagram, 5 why etc.
• Desirable to have experience with machine buy-off with vendors.
