Your Role at Baxter:

Our Enterprise Account team is an overarching sales organization focused on selling total solutions at the highest C-suite level. The Integrated Delivery Network IDN) organization is responsible for maintaining and developing strategic customer relationships and growing business positions in collaboration with the Field Sales Organization in the US Region with identified IDNs for Advanced Surgery, Hospital Products and Renal.

As the IDN Sales Director, you will be responsible for growth and retention strategies within aligned IDNs in the Carolinas and Florida. You will ensure that value is created, the customer experience is positive, commitments are met and mutual goals are achieved.

Your assigned IDN accounts are UNC Health Care, Duke University Health, Novant Health, Medical University of SC, Prisma Health, BayCare Health, University of FL Health, Cooperative Services of FL, Wake Forest Baptist Health, Baptist Health South FL.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and fully execute the integrated sales strategy and growth plan within the assigned IDNs.

  • Responsible for strategic account portfolio development, disciplined pipeline management and execution of the integrated sales strategy.

  • Achieve results in a matrixed environment to ensure alignment and collaboration with the US Advanced Surgery, Hospital Products and Renal divisions.

  • Ensure positive customer experiences, value creation, retention and growth.

  • Play a key leadership role in working with Divisions, Marketing, Clinical, Operations, Finance, Legal and Field Sales teams to ensure Baxter and customer goals are met, enterprise value propositions and strategies are fully developed, implemented and represented in strategic IDNs.

  • Ensure collaboration with field sales to achieve maximum benefits.

  • Develop strategic account plans and metric driven Customer centric QBRs.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, industry associations and other clients.

  • Promote the Baxter Culture through positive ongoing customer relations.

  • 50% Travel required.

Your Team:

The Enterprise Corporate Accounts IDN Sales Director is an individual contributor role reporting to the Area Vice President, Southeast and West. You’ll will work collaboratively across the organization.

Your Location:

This is a field-based role in geographical proximity to those accounts covered with expected overnight travel of 50%. Candidates are expected to already reside in the greater geography within the Carolinas or Florida.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of progressive Healthcare sales leadership experience.

  • Talent runway considerations, IDN role as a springboard to advancement positions (Area Sales Director, Area VP, VP of Sales)

  • Existing relationships important: UNC Health Care, Duke University Health, Novant Health, Medical University of SC, Prisma Health, BayCare Health, University of FL Health, Cooperative Services of FL, Wake Forest Baptist Health, Baptist Health South FL.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve financial goals or strategic business objectives in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Excellent executive presentation, written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and trends.

  • Excellent customer orientation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to organize, manage and coordinate resources.

  • Success leading multi - year complex sales and contract negotiation processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate change.

  • Effective relationship development and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have strong sales management abilities, strategic planning skills, financial acumen, and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of business drivers, clinical applications and value proposition for all products within the Baxter portfolio (Hospital Products, Advanced Surgery and Renal)

  • Ability to manage fast paced environment, respond accurately and quickly

  • Strong project management skills need to lead multiple high-priority projects with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Strong organization and communication skills need to ensure that all internal teams are aware and aligned across all projects within assigned IDNs

  • Ability to identify and leverage Baxter’s internal resources – people and tools

  • Ability to align with and influence/motivate sales teams within Baxter

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $163,840 to $245,760 plus an annual incentive bonus, and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, business line, and geographic/office location.
