Context of the job: The job holder will be required to coordinate the Enterprise Risk
Management (ERM) process at Capital A Berhad (CAB) Group and related companies. This
would entail that all elements of risks are properly identified, assessed, mitigated and
reported in line with the internal guidelines and regulatory requirements. This would also
include the implementation of a robust Business Continuity Management plan/process in the
areas of supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Group Head, Risk in the development of an effective ERM & BCM
framework/policy and support the implementation of associated processes at CAB
Group.
2. Integrate Risk management with strategic management process towards a successful
delivery of ERM & BCM strategy as aligned with Management and CAB Board
expectations.
3. Manage, monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) using appropriate ERM
methodologies, tools & techniques.
4. Plan, conduct, and debrief crisis simulation exercises to test the adequacy of existing
BCP plans and strategies. Act as a coordinator for Business Continuity/Recovery efforts
after a disruption event.
5. Liaise with the core department and teams to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives
and convey business needs/expectations.
6. Hold business plans to Enterprise BCP goals and challenge business leaders on
identification of critical functions and needs.
7. Assist the Business to design BCP goals, objectives and scope for an effective BCP
Plan.
8. Work closely with Information Technology to ensure the Disaster Recovery plans for
critical systems and applications are consistent with the business functions developed
for CAB Group.
9. Follow-up on quarterly collection and analysis of ERM & BCM data and their mitigation
plans.
10. Facilitate business unit/operational personnel on effective use of risk management tools
to ensure relevant risk information is appropriately identified, captured, assessed,
monitored and reported.
11. Facilitate an effective reporting and monitoring mechanism in ensuring prompt
identification, assessment and action plans formulation to address ERM & BCM issues
that warrant attention of the Management and the CAB Board.

12. Assist the Group Head, Risk on appropriate risk reporting to the CAB Board and
associated Board Committees of related companies.
13. Engage with assurance functions (Group Audit, External Auditors - where required) and
other control functions for effective management of ERM and BCM at CAB Group.
14. Periodically review CAB Group risk policies, procedures and reporting templates to
ensure relevancy in the operating environment.
15. Facilitate the appointments of Risk Officers and Business Continuity Officers at CAB
Group for effective implementation of ERM and BCM processes.
16. Coordinating training and organizing awareness programs (ERM/BCM related) and
sharing of risk management best practice across the CAB Group.
