Speedway Motorsports, LLC is a leading marketer, promoter and sponsor of motorsports entertainment in the United States. The Company, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates the following premier facilities: Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Dover Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, and Texas Motor Speedway. The Company provides souvenir merchandising services through its SMI Properties subsidiaries; manufactures and distributes smaller-scale, modified racing cars and parts through its U.S. Legend Cars International subsidiary; and produces and broadcasts syndicated motorsports programming to radio stations nationwide though its Performance Racing Network subsidiary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Maintain inventory levels and merchandise placement
• Must be able to read & implement plan-o-grams
• Assist in pre-event set up by confidently implementing plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, and upkeep of shops and fixtures
• Strong merchandising skills are a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Excellent customer service and selling skills
• Be willing to work extended hours on event days and event set up days
• Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed
• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company
• Attention to detail and accuracy in open & close procedures
• Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Innovative & self- starter, who can work independently and as part of a team
• Be able to work outside in the elements
• Flexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; using strong communication and interpersonal skills. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop. The ability to comfortably lift 50lbs is also required. During higher volume business, the employee may be asked to work overtime when needed.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
