Job Title: Finance Executive
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Remote Working)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Responsible for daily finance operations which includes timely issuance of invoices to clients, recording payables, processing of payments etc
- Supporting Malaysia and Korea Operations
- Assist in handling full sets of account (AP/AR/GL)
- Involve in monthly accounts closing, such as posting of month-end closing journal entries, preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, tax computations and other related matters
- Perform monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on outstanding items (e.g. creditors, debtors, bank accounts, inter-company reconciliation etc)
- Assist in preparation of annual and quarterly re-forecast
- Assist in weekly P&L and cashflow statement
- Tracking of expenditure - staff claim expenses & fixed assets
- Statutory audits & tax filing: Prepare financial statement, accounting working papers, accounts analysis and supporting schedules
- Credit control for AR (including inter-company activities)
- Well-versed with WHT implications
- Supporting the Finance Manager and Executives with ad-hoc tasks when required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:
- 2 to 3 years of solid accounting experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting
- Solid experience / knowledge in General Ledger
- Professional qualification (ACCA/CFA/CPA) is considered a plus
- Able to multitask and work with cross departments/countries
- Able to work and deliver under pressure and tight deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess good and positive working attitude
- A team player with good communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Xero and Adaptive preferred
- Preferably someone from Marketing & Advertising / Finance Shared Services
