Job Description

1) Financial Reporting

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including, preparation of the accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, budget variance analysis, and any other reporting requirements;
  • Collaboration with Property Manager, Building Supervisor and Client’s Asset Management and Finance team (only where required) to amend, review and finalise the reporting packs (for P&L and Capital projects) including the financial and other data and analysis and commentary contained within;
  • Dealing with incoming queries and requests in a timely and efficient manner so as to ensure the client’s expectations are met/exceeded. Generally within 24 hours for urgent requests and 36 hours for other requests;
  • Review Account Payable and Account Receivable and escalate issues when necessary;
2) Client
  • Actively engage clients both internally and externally to understand their business requirements and direct team efforts to ensure the service delivery is focused on maximizing value to the client
3) Monthly KPI
  • Assist to compile data for monthly KPI presentation to client
4) Compliance and Audit
  • Assist with audit procedures.
  • Ensures that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains accounting processes and procedures which comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements, and management reporting requirements
5) Support
  • Assisting Account Payable and Account Receivable team with issue resolution
  • Assisting the Property Management team with the preparation of annual budgets including reviews, analysis and checks;

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; a CPA/CA OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in public and/or private accounting.
  • Understanding of accounting policies, reporting requirements and processes to evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of journal entry
  • Ability to responds to client inquiries or concerns with a sense of urgency; persists until the client’s concerns are satisfied or outcomes are improved.
  • Ability to communicate in meaningful and clear manner
  • Ability to work in a team as well as working under minimal supervision
  • Embraces and fosters change, helping others understand and support the change.
  • Well verse in Microsoft Office Suite application
  • Knowledge of computer applications related to real estate accounting or financial management systems will be advantageous.
