Join Us As a Food Service Manager!

As a Food Service Manager for TaraVista in Devens, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. You’ll be responsible for management of the Food Service Department, as well as advocate for the interests and safety of the patients and department members while acting in accordance with compliance regulations. In exchange, we will care for you as much as you care for our patients.

How You Care for Our Patients

The Food Service Manager plans and oversees the activities and personnel of the food service operations. Primary responsibilities include overseeing food purchasing and inventory control, supervising food production and service for patients and the hospital; ensuring food production complies with standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards; managing staff; payroll, scheduling and reviewing and updating policies and procedures; implementing and maintaining quality, cost control, and safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards. This is a working manager position, filling in and working within the department to fill open shifts as cook, nutritional aid and/or nutritional aid support.

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

• 2-4 years of experience in the preparation and cooking of food in a hospital, hotel, or restaurant.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management position.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
• Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
• Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
• Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Safe Serve Management Certificate required.

TaraVista Behavioral Health Center is a regional inpatient treatment center serving Middlesex County, Worcester County and Southern New Hampshire.
