Within the Scooters Coffee brand sits Harvest Roasting, which includes our warehouse, bakery, and roastery. Harvest Roasting serves as the supplier to all of our coffeehouse locations, including corporate and franchise owned, providing weekly product deliveries of the vast majority of products needed for daily business. LOCATION

This position may be performed with flexible working arrangements, including a mix of work from home and in-office work. Scooters Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate must currently reside in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.


DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to provide broad support to the Scooters Coffee Employee Relations team. You will gain knowledge and experience in HR systems, recordkeeping, as well as onboarding and offboarding processes. In this role you will use your strong organizational skills to streamline processes, support employee lifecycle changes, and gain general HR exposure through daily tasks and special projects as needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A successful candidate is able to meet the following essential duties and responsibilities, either with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Serve as an administrator for the HR information system (HRIS)
  • Utilize HR information system (HRIS) to:
  • Complete initial employee record setup with timeliness and accuracy
  • Process employee promotions, transfers, and separations
  • Run scheduled reports for various HR teams
  • Perform routine audits to ensure data integrity
  • Partner with Employee Relations and HRIS teams to complete system projects and enhancements
  • Oversee and communicate employee offboarding activities across multiple departments
  • Communicate employee pay exceptions to Payroll team, partnering with Employee Relations to ensure compliance with federal and/or state employment regulations
  • Partner with Employee Relations on unemployment claim responses
  • Partner with Payroll on employee garnishments
  • Source and/or distribute internal and external worksite notices
  • Update, maintain, and purge files
  • Internal data entry
  • Provide special projects support


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in administrative role, HR experience preferred
  • Proficiency in all MS Office platforms, including intermediate Excel skills
  • Proven ability to learn new programs and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate between departments and team members
  • Desire to learn more about HRs role within a growing organization
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and execute tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to change and independently reprioritize competing demands
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
