Job Purpose
The Analyst, will monitor, track and maintain documentation of domestic Inbound freight shipments Mobis Parts America service and accessory parts. Under minimal supervision this position will regularly exercise discretion and independent decision-making in resolving issues related to the freight movement of parts through the Logistics supply chain for all service and accessory parts. This position will also review and administer all inbound trucking freight spot quotes for accuracy and comparison to determine with management the best freight cost and transit time options. The Sr. Transportation Analyst will work closely with MPA Supply, PDC’s, Import and Trade internal departments.
Job Responsibilities
- Obtain quotes - Spot quote processing and FTL scheduling for MPA PDC to PDC transfers. Administration of Intermodal carrier processes and invoice payments. Establish PDC Carrier multi pick up origin and multi destination for MPA Cal PDCs. Obtain quotes
- Administer, distribute and field issues relating to the Mobis Inbound Domestic shipments to the PDC’s. Work with supply scheduler and carriers on Inbound Domestic FTL scheduling into MPA PDC’s. Meet established KPI’s - Freight to Ports (0.15% of MSL) and IB Freight/Landed Cost (6.60% of FOB / 4.95% of MSL); Carrier OTD (98%)
- Schedule all Inbound FTL Supplier/Vendor moves to PDCs as required by Supplier routing guides. Administration of MAL shipments. Coordinate meetings as needed with MAL and Carrier to discuss assessorial charge reduction and container loading issues.
- Process, audit, and resolve discrepancies of related truck carrier bills and demurrage and detention billings in an accurate and timely manner. Approval of over limit Air Freight to Hawaii and Alaska dealers
- Complete required yearly 12 hours MPA training classes by established deadlines.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Overall Related Experience:
- Minimum of two to five year's experience in related Inbound domestic logistics. Accounting experience a plus.
- Advanced understanding of logistic/transportation processes/principles.
Directly Related Experience:
- Two to five year's experience in logistics/transportation.
Skills
- Intermediate to advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Office
- PowerPoint, Pivot tables, V-lookup
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with advanced analytical skills
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
