The IT Asset Management Administrator is responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function;
Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.
Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Requires a bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. The IT Asset Management Administrator is a member of the Infrastructure Group reporting to the Director of Infrastructure. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ï‚·
Manages the entire hardware and software product lifecycle ï‚·
Maintains and monitors hardware/software inventory database to ensure compliance ï‚· Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services ï‚·
Track and renew hardware and software maintenance agreements and warranties ï‚·
Procurement, receipt, inventory and provisioning of software and hardware ï‚·
Research equipment and software and make recommendations on vendors, manufactures, product versions ï‚·
Review and revise standard equipment configuration policies ï‚·
Meter and review software and hardware utilization and make recommendations on requirements ï‚·
Performs technology research and routine administrative duties as requested ï‚·
Interacts with Finance as appropriate Key Competencies/Required Skills ï‚·
Job knowledge/Technical skills “ Possesses significant current technical knowledge of IT hardware and software.
Associate degree in Computer Science ï‚· 3+ years experience in operations IT support ï‚· 2+ years in Asset
