Short Role Summary:
The role entails monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of an WEBHELP APAC. Individuals in this role would assist to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either remotely or in person. They may also work within first or second-line support. The work is as much about understanding how information systems are used as applying technical knowledge related to computer hardware or software in order to support the WEBHELP APAC technology infrastructure.
Job Descriptions :
  • Communicate directly with users either by phone, email, remote assist or on-site, to investigate and provide problem resolution.
  • Handle desktop & notebook computers, peripherals installation, upgrades and internal relocation.
  • Assist in setup of desktop & notebook computers and installation of Standard Office Environment (SOE).
  • Perform asset assignment, tagging and tracking on a periodical basis.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
  • Solving password problems
  • Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Repairing equipment and replacing parts
  • Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Checking computer equipment for electrical safety
  • Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies

Job Requirements :
  • Minimum 3 years in IT support role.
  • Degree Holder in IT related
  • Willing to work on shift rotation
  • Willing to work on weekend
  • Able to work in minimum supervision
  • Good problem -solving skillExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
