Sports Direct Malaysia is currently looking for IT Workshop Technician to join our growing team.
Malaysia marks the first direct retail investment in Asia through a joint venture partnership with Malaysian owned MST Golf Group of companies, a well-established golf retailer and service provider in the region. We have developed a new generation of stores as part of our multi channel elevation strategy, to enhance the customer experience at every step of the journey. Our focus is on presenting an unrivalled range of quality products at excellent value in a modern spacious environment. The stores are uniquely zoned by key sports categories which include; SD Football, SD Running, SD Training (fitness, cross training, gym equipment, weights, boxing, yoga), SD Rackets (badminton, tennis, squash), SD Swimming (pool, beach, water sports), SD Sports (basketball, rugby, extreme games, cycling, skates & indoor games), SD Lifestyle (Men, Women & Kids) & SD Outdoor (Hiking, trekking, camping & fishing).
- Working in our purpose-built IT Workshop, you will take responsibility of hardware queries and requests that come from our head office, stores and warehouse:
- Providing IT hardware support to all aspects of the business via our ticket systems and be able to log detailed but concise information about each ticket
- Building, repairing, updating, and maintaining IT hardware across the business to ensure optimum uptime and availability
- Assisting the broader IT teams with preparation and delivery of hardware for implementation
- Writing and updating technical documentation to ensure the team is kept up to date with knowledge
- Confidently owning end user tickets right through to resolution
- Clear passion for a career in IT and looking to grow with the business
- Able to understand problem trends and escalate where necessary
- Solution orientated mindset
- Good knowledge of IT hardware
- Knowledge of Cisco networking hardware (Desirable)
- Hands-on experience with IT hardware repair and testing
- Experience with Windows desktops and servers
