About Cognizant’s Digital Engineering Practice:
At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Java Full Stack Lead Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. Location: Pleasanton CA
Responsibilities:
- As a Tech lead: Should be good with Java backend and have hands on frontend knowledge. Should be good with analyzing issues and provide solutions to the team. Be hands on, building and Supporting API’s for corporate systems.
- Java Developer Skill + Experience in leading 3-4 developers and mentoring the team. Experience in working with Solution Architect for Design and providing recommendations. Perform Design and Code reviews
- Build reusable components and libraries for handling Frontend piece of web application.
- Responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties..
- Full Stack Developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
Qualifications
- Has proficient understanding of 8 plus years HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Typescript. A strong handle on software design patterns and writing clean code within a Micro Services environment
- Node.JS knowledge is preferred.
- Has worked on Angular 7 and above, developing components and consuming REST APIs
- Has worked on web application development for over 8 plus years using Java 8+ and Spring MVC/ Spring Boot, Microservices.
- Has thorough knowledge on Unit testing Angular using Jasmine, Karma
- Has knowledge on consuming SOAP services using Spring framework.
- Has developed REST Services / API using Spring Boot with any relational / document database as backend.
- Has good knowledge on Unit testing/Jnuit REST APIs
- Knowledge on tooling like Node JS, npm, ng cli, Git, Maven, Gradle is needed.
- Good to have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services for interactive UI testing
Salary and Other Compensation:
- The annual salary for this position is between $94K – $143K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
