A multinational in the FMCG industry is recruiting for a Labour Relations Manager job for their commercial and manufacturing functions in Petaling Jaya.

About the Labour Relations Manager Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the overall harmony of industrial and employee relations across the organisation, including managing relations with the union.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support, advice and guidance to business leaders on all labour and employee relations matters
• Act as a strategic advisor and subject-matter expert on matters related to local labour law
• Advise on projects requiring industrial relations consultation and drive execution as a key project team member
• Conduct investigations for workplace issues including providing investigation summary reports and managing the grievance process
• Manage union relations including negotiating collective bargaining agreements and resolving grievances
• Coach managers on how to handle performance related issues and provide solutions such as implementing performance management processes
• Support the design, development, and implementation of Employee Relations practices, programmes and policies for the market and region
• Provide counselling to employees and resolve employee issues or concerns in a timely manner in compliance with local labour laws

To succeed in this Labour Relations Manager role, you will need sound knowledge of IR (including union management) and a creative drive to provide more innovative solutions and help bridge gaps amongst employees.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in law or human resources or equivalent
• At least seven years of experience in HR with strong exposure to IR and ER
• Experience participating in collective agreement and change management projects
• Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to foster relationships
