Job Description for: E-Coat Loader
Purpose of Job:
This position reports to the Production Leader, Supervisor, & Cell Leader and is responsible for loading metal stamping onto racks, loading rack onto ecoat carousel, and keeping work areas organized.
Minimum level of education / training required/certificates/licenses:
This position prefers a General Educational Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
Minimum experience required:
None required, entry level position
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Efficiently hang parts onto racks, 9-minute time per load.
2) Accurately, load parts using Standard Work Instructions (SWI) to maintain quality parts.
3) Timely move parts & racks to ecoat line with a wheeled cart to appropriate location.
4) Efficiently load racks and other machines at the designated rate.
5) Effectively assist in loading any part in any work cell per work instructions and processes and procedures
6) Proficiently assist load operators in the daily schedule as needed.
7) Accurately perform and follow all general machine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) maintenance programs
8) Accurately set up, check, and/or adjust racks/chart devices to assure proper operation.
9) Proficiently check and adjust all safety devices and related equipment in the assigned work area.
10) Adequately operate carts &/or pallet jacks in movement of parts, materials and other needed items.
11) Assist and provide effective and efficient training to other associates.
12) Proficient on Plex system keeping entries accurate and true (work center status) Computers used briefly. Will train.
13) Thoroughly cleaning work area, putting all items in appropriate locations.
14) Based on company needs a flexible work schedule and/or overtime is needed.

Lean: Participate in and support lean manufacturing programs and principles with a focus to reduce costs with quality product such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Suggestion System, etc. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement to continually strive to improve our processes and procedures. Adhere to 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.
Environmental: Employee is responsible for complying and supporting any environmental policies and programs put in place by Batesville Tool and Die (BTD). Employee may not bring any environmentally hazardous substances or compounds into BTD and is always conscious of the impact on the environment. Support and adhere to Technical Specification (TS) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) activities and procedures.
Other: Perform any other duties as assigned with enthusiasm and without complaint.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is continually required to work around machinery. The employee is frequently required to push/pull wrenches and pry bars. The employee occasionally is required to work in pit under presses or underground scrap conveyors. The employee will also be required to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Environmental Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to forklift traffic, loud conditions, and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot/humid conditions.

9. Sturdy shoe/boot

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does supervise anyone
1st shift load team lead 5:30 am-2:45 pm
1st shift unload team lead 7:00am-4:00 pm
3rd shift load team lead 9:15pm-6am
3rd shift unload team lead 1015p-7:15 am
1st shift pay is $15.00 plus $50 weekly attendance bonus if applicable
3rd shift pay is $15.00 plus $.50/ hr premium and 30 min paid lunch plus $50 weekly attendance bonus if applicable
