Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for a Business Development Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania or office location in Houston, Texas!

This position will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new industrial gas business opportunities in the Americas with investment values of ~$10MM-$300MM.
The successful candidate should have broad commercial and technical knowledge of air separation plant offerings, project development and execution, applications, and a good business, financial, and legal knowledge base. Position requires someone able to develop customer relationships and capable of handling complex negotiations. Candidates should have cross-functional and commercial experience, solid analytical and communication skills, a strong work ethic, a sense of ownership and leadership of opportunities, and be a strong team leader.
The primary focus of this position is the development and execution of all aspects of new build-own-operate (onsite) sale of gas investments, merchant liquefier and piggyback investments, and other industrial gases investments in North America including: matrix leadership, supply strategy and proposal development, commercial negotiations, development of and managing approval of funding documents, and working closely with GEMTE to support delivery of new investments at onstream to meet or exceed cost and schedule targets. Key aspects of the position include the management of the interfaces with Sub-Regional business team, Customers, Operations, Engineering, and Senior Management within Air Products.
Minimum requirements:
- BS in a technical degree. An MBA or similar graduate degree is desirable.
- Proven results in roles with combined commercial and technical experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to act independently
- Must be able to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
