What is the opportunity?

As a Manager, you will Analyst will work as part of the team providing Surveillance to RBC Capital Markets, Investor and Treasury Service, Wealth Management International and Global Asset Management EMEA and APAC. You will deliver core elements of the Compliance and Surveillance Program as it relates to communications surveillance in a timely and consistent basis and in accordance with this mandate and agreed goals/objectives.

Working hours: 9am-6pm

What will you do?

  • Conduct reviews of electronic and audio communications integrate the activity with trade surveillance exceptions.
  • You will provide leadership with respect to the development and execution of RBC’s Communications Surveillance Programme and provide day to day oversight of the dispositioning of alerts, reports and tasks vital to the successful, effective and timely operation of the Communications surveillance programme.
  • Drive forward RBC’s general electronic and audio communications monitoring functionality.
  • Instigate proactive and bespoke searches and techniques across a wide range of communication platforms
  • Facilitate e-mail retrievals, and assist with Compliance Investigations.
  • Ongoing development of reports, systems and processes in order to maintain a cutting edge audio and e-communications monitoring program.
  • Support the development of a strong and consistent compliance culture across all areas
  • Liaise with technology, e-messaging Compliance and e-messaging teams to lead on the improvement of the Communications Surveillance.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • MBA/University Degree and/or relevant professional training.
  • Minimum 6 - 8 years of related working experiences.
  • Experience of Capital Markets or Wealth Management Compliance, a trading background or a finance degree or Similar
  • Sound working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in relevant regions.
  • Previous Surveillance experience.
  • Good understanding of other languages.
  • Ideally educated to university degree level with a relevant degree, hold a recognized relevant professional qualification, or be willing to study.
  • Solid working knowledge of the Company’s IT systems and Microsoft Office Products
  • Sound working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
