- Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
- Formulate Group-wide distribution center strategies, policies and processes with local Supply Chain Management to optimize warehouse capacity, enhance productivity and minimize costs
- Provide advice and direction on the optimization of intra-warehouse processes and material flows, including warehouse layout, sizing, materials storage and handling systems
- Formulate Group-wide distribution center performance measures. Lead regular reviews with local team to ensure progress and alignment towards overall goals
- Initiate and lead Group-wide distribution center efficiency initiatives/projects to optimize distribution center operations as well as customer satisfaction levels
- Oversee the implementation of distribution center operations throughout the Group to ensure warehouse is compliant with good documentation practice (GDP), good manufacturing practice (GMP), quality standards and local regulations
- Design, manage and monitor the execution of development programs (including train-the-trainer) to transfer knowledge and best practices on distribution center operations
- Provide technical and leadership support to local distribution center operations including KPI review, best practices, issue resolution, distribution center optimization
Job requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Minimum 5 year(s) experience in a managerial capacity
- Applicants must be willing to work in Klang,
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of end-to-end supply chain management
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of distribution centers, distribution and warehouses
- Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
- Proven experience in managing supply chains in a multinational and cross-border environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of supply chain best practices and standards
- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
