Position: Material Handling Technician
Location: Gila Bend Plant – Gila Bend, AZ

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hrs/Wk (Work hours vary based on plant needs.)
Material Handling Technician is primarily responsible for the movement of raw and by-product materials and for the recovery of usable materials in the manufacture of activated carbon. Responsible for the packaging and shipping of product material produced at the plant. Maintains a neat and orderly Plant. Reports to the Plant Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Responsible for handling by-product and blending operations according to established manufacturing procedures. Able to use desktop computer and familiarity with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP PM.
- Responsible for monitoring warehouse inventories and carbon locations and ensuring they are accurate.
- Responsible for obtaining proper material samples as needed and performing specified in-process testing or submitting samples to the lab for testing.
- Attends regularly scheduled Safety meetings and implements all CCC and OSHA safe work practices. Conducts monthly safety observations.
- Maintaining complete and accurate records of waste recovery operations and inventory, as required. Verifies and calibrates various production and in-process testing equipment.
- Responsible for Plant material handling and conveying, unloading of spent carbon trucks, packaging of final product and loading of trucks with final product.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is preferred (would consider years of experience in lieu of education).
- 0-2 years of Warehouse experience is required.
