Job description
- Directly manage the equipment and conveyors of the main production line including the Main conveyor system from the Front End to the Back End, the Vacuum conveyor system, the can-in-feed system for the Decorator, and other related jobs.
- Take on a leadership role of a small team, plan management and instruct team members to complete maintenance on schedule, safely, and professionally.
- Contact the supplier to discuss related issues such as equipment failures, and spare parts, combine with the supplier's engineers, and supervise them during installation, maintenance, and reporting to the Engineering Manager.
- Responsible for ensuring the conveyor system operates smoothly and does not affect the capacity and downtime of the leading equipment.
- Planning periodical maintenance, and preventive care for the conveyor system.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled lubrication for conveyor, motor, and shaft systems.
- Responsible assurance for the quality of cans related to conveyors such as dented, jamming can ... handling, and improving weak points on the conveyor system.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly check the conveyor system according to the checklist and promptly fix the problem to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the conveyor system.
- Prepare documentation, training, and standard operating procedures for the operator.
- Manage and purchase spare parts, ensuring safety.
- Responsible for conveyor system overhaul planning (yearly maintenance), people arrangement, preparing spare parts, and reporting to the engineering manager for approval and implementation.
- Always monitor the operating status of the conveyor's system, and be ready to give troubleshooting instructions, or go to the factory to handle it as quickly as possible.
- Participate in technology improvement projects, and expansion projects if any.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply but 1-2 years of relevant working experience will be an added advantage, if the candidate has 3 years of can-making manufacturing experience, higher salary remuneration will be offered.
- Be able to work under pressure and work in tight, fast-paced schedules.
- Knowledge in 5S, 6 Sigma, Lean Practice, FSSC 2200, ERP, SPC, and OA will be added advantage.
- Creativity at work, innovative thinking, and ability to modify inconsistent points on the production line.
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings, standards, and technical specifications.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, drafting &, etc.
- Ability to use the equipment of the mechanical room proficiently such as flat grinders, welding machines, milling machines, lathes, etc.
