This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the US.
Job Summary:
The Multimedia Education Consultant (MMC) position is an integral part of building efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of initial enrollment and ongoing education support to plan sponsor employees and plan participants.
This role works with Sales team members, Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) team members, intermediaries and plan sponsors to consult on varied education solutions for participant communication plans. The MMC will act as primary facilitator to deliver remote presentations for group enrollment and education meetings, strategic education planning sessions with financial representatives and sponsors, and trainings to assist financial representatives and clients create streamlined business processes, highlighting John Hancock’s self-service tools and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with territory sales and relationship management teams
(for all product segmentations): 60%
Responding to calls from internal clients, external intermediaries, and plan sponsors to consult on multimedia education solutions for participant communication plans
To function as the primary facilitator of remote presentations including group enrollment and education meetings (for both new and existing business and presentations to intermediary partners about tools/materials to support efficiency in their Practice Management
Available to support transition and back-up territories when other team members are out
Collaborate with key financial representatives and TPA partners to build multimedia solutions as appropriate to support their service deliverables
Partner with internal collaborators to support post sale enrollment/education needs: 35%
Work with Operations teams to evaluate the facilitation of ongoing enrollment/education needs – directing the most effective and efficient solutions
Work with the Personal Financial Services (PFS) group to evaluate the facilitation of remote enrollment/education solutions
Support for proactive remote enrollment/education calendar (Weekly enrollment, and Participant outreach programs).
To support and deliver webcasts and web demo presentations for all business segments.
Training and development: 5%
To train financial representatives and their support staff in the utilization of John Hancock multimedia tools and resources
To develop best practices that strengthen financial representatives’ and TPAs’ existing service model with the use of multimedia tools and solutions
Job Requirements:
College degree (or equivalent work experience with pension and/or PC experience)
Five to seven years of similar experience
Life insurance and variable licenses as determine for assigned territories
NASD Series 6, and 63 ; Series 7 a plus
Bilingual skills a plus

Ability to effectively manage internal network of resources to satisfy the demands of intermediaries and their blocks of business
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM system interface
Company and product knowledge
Strong understanding of pensions/retirement plan markets, the regulatory environment, and impacts on the business and intermediaries’ future
Thorough understanding of John Hancock’s support model with financial representatives
Strong understanding of investments and basic market principles.
Passion for participants’ needs and the importance of saving for retirement
Presentation skills
Excellent public speaking/presentation skills; able to demonstrate professional poise and confidence, and remain personable in a virtual/remote environment
In-depth working knowledge of presentation tools and technology tools/hosting platforms (PowerPoint, Camtasia, Brainshark, TEAMs, Zoom, Webex, GoToMeeting)
