Description
Located in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a 120 bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans.
EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of taking care of Kentucky Veterans.
The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center is looking for a self-motivated, energetic full-time Nurse Aide State Registered I, who possesses the skills and desires to care for Kentucky’s Veterans.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

- Assists residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, dental, oral and nail care
- Assisting residents with meals
- Assists residents with medical appointments and transports

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
