Job Descriptions:
- To oversee and continue improve work efficiency, especially in operation, warehousing, logistic and customer service.
- To assist General Manager in daily administrative functions including providing advice and solution for operational matters (Logistic & Warehousing).
- To review, build and develop operational policies and strategic decisions in line with business objective for continuous improvement and cost reduction purposes.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities to improve productivity and on time delivery.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- To work closely with the management to ensure all existing operational and administrative functions are executed effectively in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- To review and execute best strategies in manpower utilization in logistic and warehousing operations.
- Responsible for Monthly Report to top management, work closely and interacts well with other relevant departments.
- Manage the Imports and Exports teams to ensure customers’ operational/documentation requirements are met in full satisfaction.
- Develop customer relationships with existing customers wherever possible to sustain business
- Handle ad-hoc customer complaints on service and operational issues.
- Liaise with customers and overseas offices/JVs on shipping operational, cost and documentation requirements
- Lead in the engagement and strategic customer interfaces with Key Accounts.
- Co-ordinate/liaise with Carrier contacts on operational activities, issues resolution, process execution and performance improvement according to corporate policy and monitor carriers' performance.
- Ensure Export/Import operations staff does complete/on-time billings, cost inputs accurately and completes all transactions on system accurately and promptly
- Work with Finance on operational accounting matters.
- Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Transportation or business management (as minimum qualification).
- Possess minimum 5 years working experience in the Shipping / Freight Forwarding / Logistics field with proven managerial experience.
- Excellent command in English and Malaysia, both in speaking and writing.
- Excellent Communication Skill, Problem Solving Decision , Forward Planning, Strategic Thinker & People management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Possess own transportation and willing to travel.
