Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for a Live In Part Time Care Companion in Grass Valley.

A lovely, fun woman in Grass Valley is looking for a part time care companion. The right candidate will be able to help her get out of bed and ready in the morning, make her breakfast and dinner, remind her to take her medication, help her get ready for bed, and spend some time just chatting and enjoying tv together, going out to dinner, etc. Her new care companion will have their own bedroom, own bathroom, and all utilities are paid.

• Schedule: An hour or so getting her ready in the morning (around 8am) and a couple hours in the evening (approximately 5-7:30pm), but someone willing to spend some quality time with her will be a great fit!
• Start date: June 1
• Long term
• Rate: $20/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Being a friend and advocate
• Supporting hygiene needs
• Supporting mobility needs - mom is a fall risk
• Med reminders
• Meal prep
• Light housekeeping, laundry
• Coordinating changing care needs with the family (daughter lives nearby and is involved in care)
• Occasional transportation to appointments, outings (out to eat, etc)
• Running errands, picking up groceries, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• 2+ years of paid, professional care experience
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Has a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
• Must be a nonsmoker
• Must be okay with dogs

Compensation: Position pays $20 per hour and the family is looking for25 hours per week.

• This position is for a live in care companion where you will be needed/paid for approximately 3 1/2 hours each day. You are welcome to have another job, etc, while caring for this client, but she does need care every morning and every evening, so please be able to accommodate those needs. • To keep the families we work with safe, we require ID verification of any candidates shared with the hiring family. Are you willing to complete this simple verification via a secure platform? You will not be asked to do so until after the initial interview.
• Please briefly describe your professional/paid caregiving experience.
• Are you able and willing to provide two references from your most recent care positions? These references must be from a paid/professional position and cannot be related to you. We will request this information as part of our vetting process if the hiring family decides to move forward (after your interview with the family).
