Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our team in the Scientific industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, business analysis, forecasting, cost accounting, strategic planning, six sigma, and lean accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of the plant's operations
• Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports for the plant
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
• Forecast plant financial results and provide variance analysis
• Manage the cost accounting function for the plant
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant performance
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using six sigma and lean accounting methodologies
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other accounting standards
• Ensure timely and accurate weekly and monthly reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
• 7+ years of experience with cost accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
• Chemical manufacturing experience preferred
