Primary Purpose:
The Principal Treasury and Compliance Analyst is responsible for all cash management functions of the company. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all project-financing agreements as well as monitoring compliance with other regulatory, administrative, commercial and operational agreements.
This position is located in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Cash Management Functions:
- Facilitate and manage operational and investment bank accounts
Process manual wire, ACH, and intercompany payments
Release weekly payment runs via SAP
Administer online banking platforms
Maintenance of One Card Program
Develop and maintain monthly cash forecasting model ensuring compliance with waterfall requirements per finance agreements and accurate distributions to Partners
Manage distribution process to Partners
Develop Treasury slides for presentation to Partners in monthly F&A technical committee meetings
Monitor investment selections to ensure maximum return on excess cash
Create and distribute monthly key Treasury metrics to executive team and Partners
Maintain banking relationships
Loan Compliance Functions:
Develop a thorough understanding of all project finance and related material project agreements
Manage internal compliance processes
Ensure affirmative project finance obligations in the finance agreements, joint venture agreement, and other agreements are submitted to appropriate parties on a timely basis in accordance with the various agreements, e.g., financial ratio calculations, periodic status reports, environmental and social reporting, financial statement reporting, required notices, etc.
Monitor negative covenants within the various financing and other agreements to ensure effective underlying processes are in place and followed.
Provide education to covenant owners in various departments to assist in assuring ongoing covenant requirements are met
Utilize and maintain SharePoint/Outlook functionality, excel databases, and survey software to assist in facilitating compliance with the various covenants and providing an audit trail to demonstrate compliance
Assist with preparation and formatting of any new reporting requirements within the various agreements
Establish and build relationships with various lenders and their agents
Assist with responses to various lender questions
Assist with providing information to rating agency representatives as required
Assist with any new financings or other new treasury related agreements
Insurance Administration:
With the assistance of brokers and consultants, co-lead with the Treasurer and Controller the implementation and renewal of the company’s insurance policies, ensuring the overall policy evaluation and renewal process meets the requirements of the finance agreements and joint venture agreement. Review coverage terms and conditions and ensure completed applications are filed timely with appropriate markets
Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical effort.
Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in accounting, finance, economics or another business discipline
Other professional certificates/advanced degrees (CTP or CPA, etc.)
Experience:
10+ years of project compliance experience.
10+ years of analyst experience in finance/treasury
Strong excel and modeling experience required

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
