Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the leading local hunger-relief organization in the state with locations in Milwaukee and Appleton. JOB PURPOSE:
With the goal of increasing access to and consumption of healthy food among the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) target audience, the Program & Partnership Coordinator will design, execute, and evaluate key programs for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, specifically related to the Food Leaders Lab Program. This position will provide direction, strategy, and continuity for the organization’s programs. The Program & Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for managing the execution of specific programs developed by graduates of the Food Leaders lab program, develop, and manage relationships with program graduates, participants, and partners. Additionally, this position will also serve as a contact between Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and UW-Madison Extension FoodWIse’s Healthy Food Systems Coordinator in Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee Health Department’s Food Systems Public Health Strategist to support Food Leaders Lab Program graduates’ project implementation and connect their projects into and impact the local food system. The Program & Partnership coordinator will be responsible for achieving program results, problem solving, and developing and strengthening relationships with program partners. This role will execute and elevate key Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin programs through detailed project management, impact evaluation, and relationship development and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a primary resource for program development, implementation, and evaluation, and ensuring Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin programs demonstrate a commitment to equity.
- Facilitate the execution of projects developed and led by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s Food Leaders Lab program.
- Execute program plans according to established metrics, and aligned with an agreed-up on timeline through collaboration with internal departments and relevant agency partners.
- Work with participating partners to encourage outreach, support operation and adhere to established standards.
- Organize and provide regular coaching and technical support to Food Leaders Lab graduates and project leaders through regular communication and program development.
- Implement and execute programs, tools, and projects, to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s network in their strategic engagement, with a focus on SNAP, TEFAP and other commodities, child nutrition, and other issues that support solutions to ending hunger.
- Execute program plans according to established metrics, and aligned with an agreed-up on timeline through collaboration with internal departments and relevant agency partners.
- Identify and provide opportunities to Food Leaders Lab graduates to amplify their work product and program accomplishments.
- Work with relevant agency partners to identify potential Food Leaders Lab Ambassadors and program facilitators.
- Represent Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to external audiences at coalition meetings, conferences, tabling events, hearings, forums, and similar events and educate stakeholders, other organizations, and the public about the problem of hunger and solutions to hunger.
- Develop new community partnerships (i.e., government, schools, healthcare, etc.), and strengthen current partnerships to foster collaboration and build capacity to achieve long-term hunger relief goals.
- Act as a reference, referral and problem-solving agent regarding accounting and budgeting for programs.
- Work with the Community and Government Relations Team to collect, analyze, and apply nutrition and poverty data to improve programmatic results.
- Develop and implement systems and materials to track programs strategies, tactics, processes, and outcomes.
- Work with Communications Department to promote and/or market programs and create collateral as necessary.
- Work with Food Equity and Nutrition Program Analyst and Director of Strategic Partnerships & Programs to analyze and apply nutrition and poverty data to improve programmatic results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to understand and support FAEW’s mission, vision, and effective actions to end food insecurity and its causes
- Respect for the people FAEW serves and commitment to learn the causes of their food insecurity and need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or comparable experience work experience.
- Three years’ experience in project management or customer service.
- Prior work experience with nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent communications, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Must be comfortable addressing groups of 10 or more.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and database programs.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work safely following FAEW safety procedures.
- Ability to see, talk and hear to exchange accurate information with internal and external individuals.
- Ability to use keyboard, manipulate objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be open-minded of differing opinions and views.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance that meets Feeding America’s liability requirements and transportation to travel to work sites.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, bend, twist, climb, reach above shoulders, kneel, squat, sit, stand, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to lift, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee must have the ability to work in a cold environment -10 to +10 degrees Fahrenheit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while moving inventory. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a office/warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.

The ability to work from home is a flexible work arrangement that Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin (FAEW) offers to enable employees to achieve a more successful balance between work responsibilities and family life. FAEW may offer this option to employees when it benefits both the organization and the employee. However, our FAEW facilities serve as a critical hub for collaboration and, while we want to embrace flexibility, the need to be in the office or out in the field and working on projects or networking through natural camaraderie, will be expected. This position does have the capacity to work from home in our hybrid work from home model.
