Job description
Kelly is seeking a Quality Control Inspector I
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with a 30 min. lunch (may require staying later depending on work volume)
- Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
- Experience in quality control preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Sampling of raw meat material (frozen and fresh)
- Registration of sampled material and control of information
- Sensory analysis of material and temperature
- Reviewing and reporting the condition of transport units
- Data entry and reporting of daily activity in the laboratory system SAP
- Monitoring conditions, sanitizing, and cleaning of operative areas
- Controlling, registering, and monitoring sampling room temperatures
- Sampling and release of finished product
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to read, write, and keep records
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling hazardous materials
Preferred, but not required:
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
- 1-3 years of prior production/manufacturing experience or 2+ years of relevant lab technician experience
- Food industry experience is a plus
