Who You Are and What You'll Do
Working closely with the R&D Digital Transformation Head, Manager, and R&D Digital Squad, the Digital Transformation & Data Scientist will play a strategic role in shaping and driving operational engagement in the continued digital transformation across BW R&D, in collaboration with partner functions.
  • Development and execution of change management plans required to promote, maintain, and further develop a “Digital First”, R&D Data Culture linked with key functions.
  • Support deployment of priority BW R&D tools and data excellence programs across R&D together with BW RD Digital Squad.
  • Lead the delivery of digital upskilling (Data Literacy & Digital Tool awareness & adoption, skills assessment-gap analysis) across BW R&D, together BW R&D Digital Squad and RD Digital & Partnerships.
  • Working closely with the BW R&D Modelling & Analytics Manager and the BW-Hair Data Office, develop and execute priority analytics tools and data visualisations (together with partners and stakeholders) to enable confidence in rapid decisions required to deliver our BW ambition.
  • Identify and communicate business impact stories to further drive operational adoption and BW R&D engagement.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or Physics with a proven track record of delivery in data analytics and visualization.
  • 5+ year’s experience in R&D with good appreciation of cross-functional activity and networks supporting R&D delivery.
  • Confidence in manipulating/visualising large volumes of data from multiple sources with applications such as Excel, PowerBI, Access, Power App…
  • Broad awareness of R&D Digital Transformation and experience with R&D digital tools.
  • A passion for data and the opportunities to be unlocked from data analytics and robust data management.
  • The ability to work effectively within teams across multiple geographies and functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, storytelling, and proactive influencing skills at both operational and senior stakeholder level.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700 . Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
